When I saw the theme for this photoshoot, but MY mind immediately went to this photo to represent winter. Most people will think of this shoot and think of physical things, and look for photos of bikinis on the beach, or jackets in snow. But what about personifying the season? This photo personifies the season of winter. The main element is the neutral colours (Blacks, whites and greys with a hint of blue) personify the cold sterility winter brings. Other elements include the snow white skin (Obvious representation of coldness and snow), the outfit, and expression (Stern, serious and even a bit condescending. Winter DGAF about you), and the background (Winter is where nature dies. Nature is also dead in the city). I really like this photo. And if I were to be eliminated because of it, I would be proud to go out on such a photo I love.

Matt: Hm, I don't really see winter other then the outfit maybe being winter. I do like how your photo is model like though.

Nicki: Gemma, I think that your explanation is your saving grace. I definitely see a wintry look about you. Good job!

Amanda: This is a very cold, stony shot that's very model-like and fancy. I'm not completely sold on that thing you're smoking because that's not exactly model-like, That aside, your explanation is very solid, and that's what we expect when someone takes a risk - explain your photo, defend your thinking, and get us thinking that way too. I totally see this as a personification of winter, and I expect to be able to rank you very highly this week. Great job, Gemma!

BB: I thought I was looking at a Vampire first. It's kinda creepy but in a good way. I didn't feel the Winter much but I love the way you defend your photo with confident.
